COMPOSITION OF EXPEDITION

TRAVEL

-the currency is the Turkish Lira. The Euro is accepted in many places.
HEALTH INSURANCE
-
-Medical travel insurance is OBLIGATORY for all participants
VACCINES
-
-No vaccines are mandatory
LUGGAGE
-
-Luggage is limited to one suitcase (or bag) weighing a maximum of 23 kilos (50 pounds) that will be on board the van during the expedition, and a knapsac that you will keep with you.
-
-Please make sure that all your photographic or video equipment, binoculars and any indispensable medication is in your hand-luggage in case your suitcase does not arrive at destination.
TIPPING
-
-Tipping is not mandatory in Turkey but it is customary to tip a small amount of between 5 – 10% in restaurants.
TRAVEL PROTECTION TAX
-
-An amount of .35 % (or $3.5 per $1,000) of purchased services will be automatically added to your bill. This is a mandatory contribution to the Compensation fund for customers of travel agents. The fund is used to refund you if your travel agency fails to provide you with the services you purchased.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
-
-Travel insurance to cover possible luggage loss, flight concellation, trip interruption, and repatriation is OBLIGATORY. If travel is not covered by your general insurance policy, please make the necessary arrangements with your travel agent.
IMPORTANT NOTE
-
-As a precaution, each participant should have a copy of their passport and insurance policy. Please make sure to have a valid passport (expiry should be at least 6months after the return date). Also, be sure to consult the flight schedule 24 hours prior to your international flights.
