Itinerary

Friday

Plan to arrive at Des Joachims, Quebec by 2:00 p.m.
It is a 3-hour drive from Ottawa just across the river from Rolphton on Hwy 17
Allow half an hour for lunch in Deep River

The Dumoine Club Lodge is a one-hour drive on gravel roads up the river. The roads are suitable for a SUV if you want to drive your own vehicle to the Lodge.  For participants who prefer not to drive or do not have the appropriate vehicle we will have vehicles available to drive you to the Lodge.  We will meet at the local gas bar and store in the village. Parking will be available to leave your car for a small fee.

We will arrive at the club by 4:00 p.m. allowing time to settle into your rooms and orientation before dinner.

Breakfast

To take advantage of the best early morning light breakfast will be available between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.

A hot and cold buffet will be served each morning. You are to help yourself to items for snacks to bring with you in your day pack.

Morning shoot
We will be driving (20-40 min ) or boating to different locations so please rendez-vous on time at the vehicles. Most days we will be back at the lodge by noon. Lunch will be served once we arrive at the Lodge.  The early afternoon will be spent editing your photos and making selections for the afternoon presentation and evaluation of images.

Late afternoon shoot
There are five different locations available to provide a wide variety of subjects to photograph. Each day we will choose two and each shoot will last 2-4 hours depending on light and weather.
